Sara Young is a fibre artist, woodworker and illustrator from Alberta. She is a graduate from the Fibre program at the Alberta College of Art + Design (now AU Arts). Her work focuses on needle felting, creating tools, illustration of the human form and weaving. Sara enjoys making creatures of Mythology, folklore and fae adjacent characters from needle felt. Her felt work strives to evoke a sense of whimsy and harkens back to the feeling of reading a storybook when viewed. Her woodwork focuses on weaving and other textile based tools. She was part of the group show KITSCH: Craft So Bad That It's Good at the Alberta Craft Council.
